The Beginning of My Journey

So recently I have been hearing about essential oils everywhere, as I am sure you have too. I am always kind of wary about stuff like this. Does it actually work? Is it just a passing fad? Etc. I was finally made a believer when one day at work I felt like absolute death. I could hardly breath I was so congested which was also leading to pressure aches in my face, neck, and head. One of my co-workers who is into EOs told me to sit down and trust her. She gave me two bottles. She told me to rub one of the bottles contents on my cheekbones and forehead and then the second on the soles of my feet. I did as I was told and in just a few moments, literally like 5 minutes, I could breath again and felt totally normal.

Now I am in no way saying that EOs replace modern medicine nor am I saying that it was a magic cure. What I am saying is it was a supplement that gave me immediate relief to help me get through the day. It wasn't a one time use and I was cured. I did have to reapply like 3 times throughout the day, but it did work each and every time.

So after this I was definitely a believer. Anything that can make me feel that good and not have harmful toxins or chemicals is A-OK with me. I held off on purchasing anything for myself though until I could get a little more research on the subject. It turns out there are four different types of oils which I will talk about a little more in depth in a later post, but if you are looking for the ones that will give you the health benefits, you're going to want the therapeutic grade. So now I set out on an adventure of choosing a company to purchase from. There are several different companies that sell therapeutic grade oils, but in the end I decided to choose Young Living and here's why...

For one, their prices seemed very comparable to other companies if not cheaper. I also really liked their "Seed to Seal" promise and overall company purpose which I will also tell you about in a later posting.

The thing I liked THE MOST though was the fact that I could sign up as a member with them and was able to get wholesale pricing WITHOUT having to sell anything, be responsible for purchasing anything I didn't want, or having any minimum monthly purchases. I literally can buy whatever I want whenever I want.

Now Young Living does have the option of signing up for their Essential Rewards program where you can sell to others and make a commission. If you are interested in this option, there is a monthly $50 minimum, but i'll explain that later. However, if you aren't interested in that simply opt out of signing up for Essential Rewards when you become a member. When you opt out of this option, you will still be a member and get wholesale pricing no strings attached. You can spend as much or as little as you want and it never expires if you don't ordered in a certain amount of time.

I originally just became a member without signing up for the Essential Rewards. In my first order I received my Premium Starter Kit. It includes 10 different essential oils, a bonus oil (I got Stress Away which is AWESOME), a diffuser, sample packets of essential oils, 10 glass bottles for mixing, and some samples of Young Livings juice product.

The only purchase you have to make when you become a member is the starter kit, but it is all stuff you would need to purchase anyway and its actually cheaper than purchasing it all separately.

So long story short, I have starter this blog for all of you to let you know how my Essential Oils experience is going. It is only going to hold my opinions on the oils, my experience with different types of oils, and different recipes I find along the way! As an update, since first receiving my oils, I have signed up for the Essential Rewards program because I know I will continue to buy these and with this program I get points towards free stuff whoop whoop!! I have also set up a WEBSITE where you can learn even more!
